Recruiting to our Youth Panel

Hello!
On behalf of the Quest 9 team, we are excited to launch signups for our Event Youth Panel!
The panel will play a key role in supporting the Youth team, Programme team and more to ensure Quest is youth-shaped, fun and exciting, and ultimately what our young people want to see!
What is the panel? Who can join?
The youth panel is open to Scouts and Explorers, who will still be a young person on the 30th April 2027 (by the start of the event).
We want a range of people to support, bring new ideas to the table and develop their confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. We are looking for between 10 and 15 young people to support.
What will they be doing?
They will meet with the District Youth team to discuss all sorts of topics which have come out of the event. They'll be suggesting new programme ideas, feeding back on site decor, providing youth insight into the programme team's thoughts, helping decide challenges, evening activities, and so much more!
We will meet around 4 or 5 times before the event, online and in person, for around 2 hours each time, so it is not a huge time commitment!
How do they sign up?
Young people can fill out the sign-up form found on the Malling Scouts website under Quest 9 > Youth Panel.
If you have any young people that you think would be interested or great for this role, please do encourage them to sign up! Participating can be great for all sorts of badge work and awards, including Chief Scout Awards.
We have also attached a flyer which can be sent or shown to young people. There will also be an Instagram post to follow.
